A nationwide undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood by the pro-life activist group Live Action revealed that the tax-subsidized abortion behemoth and lobbying group willingly participates in and facilitates what is known as “gendercide” — the deliberate extermination of children due solely to their gender. And while the sex-discrimination problem in abortions is generally associated with countries such as China and India, evidence released by the activists on May 29 further exposed the fact that it has increasingly reared its head in America, all with the help of taxpayer subsidies.
In the first video (bottom of page) of the “Gendercide: Sex-Selection in America" series — filmed undercover at an Austin, Texas, Planned Parenthood abortion clinic — the organization’s counselor has a long conversation with a Live Action investigator posing as a client. The woman, known only as “Rebecca” in the film, tells the undercover activist all about how to find out whether the child she is carrying is a boy or a girl — even while believing that if the baby is female, the “client” intends to kill it.
Incredibly, the Planned Parenthood agent even recommends deceiving doctors into participating in the ghastly scheme by omitting the truth about why an ultrasound is desired. The counselor also gladly explains how to abuse the Medicaid system to make taxpayers pay for the gender-identification process — all along thinking to herself that the client wanted to know to potentially obtain a sex-selective abortion.
"I see that you're saying that you want to terminate if it's a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime?" the counselor asks. "The abortion covers you up until 23 weeks, so it’s a little over five months — a little — and usually at five months is usually [sic] when they detect, you know, whether or not it's a boy or a girl."
Of course, by that point, babies often survive outside of the womb with help from modern technology. And according to doctors cited by Live Action, later-term abortions also carry greater risks to the mother. The counselor omitted both of those points, it seems, though she did note that the baby’s brain would be well-developed by that time and that doctors might feel uncomfortable killing it. Before the video ends, the counselor smiles and tells the investigator to just “try again” if the baby turns out to be female and ends up being killed.
"The search-and-destroy targeting of baby girls through prenatal testing and abortion is a pandemic that is spreading across the globe," Live Action founder and President Lila Rose said in a statement. "Research proves that sex-selective abortion has now come to America. The abortion industry, led by Planned Parenthood, is a willing participant."
Around the world, an estimated 100 million girls are missing from the global population due to gendercide. In places such as China, where the communist regime brutally enforces its infamous “one-child policy,” girls are often targeted for abortion or infanticide because of cultural traditions favoring males. India has witnessed a similar problem as families seek to have more boys.
Studies show that in the United States thousands of girls are already missing due to gendercide as well. And with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars every year, Planned Parenthood — the largest abortion provider in America known for vicious lobbying and litigation efforts ensuring continued government support — is at least partially to blame, according to Live Action.
"Planned Parenthood and their ruthless abortion-first mentality is the real 'war on women'," Rose explained, using the phrase adopted by demagogues seeking to force taxpayers and churches to fund contraception. "Sex-selective abortion is gender discrimination with lethal consequences for little girls." According to Rose, the video from Austin is just the first in a series of undercover investigations examining Planned Parenthood’s role in gendercide nationwide.
To advance the protection of female babies, Live Action also formed a campaign dubbed “Protect Our Girls.” The group partnered with a broad coalition including Americans United for Life, Concerned Women for America, Family Research Council, The Lozier Institute, Susan B. Anthony List, Students for Life of America, and Women’s Rights Without Frontiers.
Before the first video was released, the abortion giant began to suspect that it was being targeted in yet another sting operation. So, in April, it attempted to preempt the negative publicity by releasing a statement denying its support for or participation in gendercide while condemning pro-life advocates and their efforts.
“Planned Parenthood does not offer sex determination services; our ultrasound services are limited to medical purposes,” claimed the organization’s education vice president Leslie Kantor and senior medical adviser Carolyn Westhoff in a piece for the pro-abortion propaganda site RH Reality Check. “As a women’s rights advocate for nearly 100 years, Planned Parenthood finds the concept of sex selection deeply unsettling.”
The Planned Parenthood officials also blasted pro-life activists, claiming that operations aimed at exposing the tax-subsidized abortion industry and its tactics were actually an effort to restrict access to “basic reproductive health care” and birth control. They also implausibly tried to frame the undercover investigation as an attack on health care and women’s rights.
”Gender bias is contrary to everything our organization works for daily in communities across the country. Planned Parenthood opposes racism and sexism in all forms, and we work to advance equity and human rights in the delivery of health care,” the duo continued without noting that the organization was founded by a virulent racist, Margaret Sanger, who sought to exterminate blacks as, in her words, “human weeds.”
“Planned Parenthood condemns sex selection motivated by gender bias, and urges leaders to challenge the underlying conditions that lead to these beliefs and practices, including addressing the social, legal, economic, and political conditions that promote gender bias and lead some to value one gender over the other,” they added.
Of course, the most recent Live Action investigation is hardly the first time Planned Parenthood’s true nature has been exposed by the youthful pro-life organization. Past investigations by Live Action have revealed blatant criminal activity, widespread deception, willingness to support and conceal child sex slavery, and much more. And the pro-life activism campaign has had a significant impact.
More and more state governments, for example, are seeking to stop forcing taxpayers to subsidize the abortion group and its schemes. The Obama administration has threatened to cut off federal funding to the poor in states that refuse to fund Planned Parenthood in an apparently desperate effort to preserve tax dollars for the abortion giant. But the backlash is growing stronger every day, and analysts say it is not going away.
The abortion organization, of course, claims it does not use public funds for abortion, which would technically be illegal. But critics say that, because money is fungible, any tax money spent promoting promiscuity or handing out condoms to teenagers simply allows Planned Parenthood to save more private dollars for abortions — by far the largest and most lucrative segment of its business.
Meanwhile, tax funding issues aside, polls show that most Americans now support restricting abortion in all or most cases. But as long as Planned Parenthood is able to extract the wealth of those same pro-lifers to fund its sinister agenda, the battle to stop abortion and the inevitable gendercide will likely continue to rage on.
