The state of Massachusetts has inflicted a child abuse charge on a couple over the doctor-prescribed medical treatment of their daughter.

 

 

A judge in the U.S. District Court in Detroit will decide if same-sex marriage is bad for children, following a hearing that will begin Tuesday on a civil suit brought by a lesbian couple seeking to marry and adopt each other's children.

“Alone Yet Not Alone,” the title song from the film of the same name, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song on January 15. The song was sung by Christian broadcaster and charity organizer Joni Eareckson Tada. But two weeks later, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the song had been disqualified because songwriter Bruce Broughton allegedly violated rules by e-mailing Academy members to make them aware of the song, since the movie had a very limited release.

 

National and local pro-life organizations have joined in calling for a boycott of the Girls Scouts’ annual cookie drive over the Girl Scouts USA’s support for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
