I think "the whole war" would have made a tad more sense. - Bonnie

U.S. and U.K unsure of what to do now

I have a suggestion. Get out!

Forgetting for a moment that the who war there is unconstitutional, what have we accomplished?

As of September 11, is was reported that 80% of Afghanistan was experiencing "heavy Taliban activity" and another 17% was experiencing "substantial Taliban activity".

Some say that withdrawing now would be "an admission of defeat". It's not defeat... it's a realization that you can't impose a democracy (which isn't all that good a form of government anyway) on a culture better suited to an oligarchy.

And if we are being defeated? It's better not to admit you're beat and stay in the fight and get "whupped" some more? It's better to appear defeated than appear stupid. - Bonnie
