That's half right. The other half is attributable to the other side of the one party system in Washington called the GOP. Think of it this way..... The federal gov't is a ship headed directly away from the Constitutional course set by our Founders. Has been for decades. The target is getting more distant at the ship's stern as time passes. Now, when the 'Demos' are in power (steering the ship), we go a bit left of the current course. When the GOP is in power, we steer somewhat to the right - but not much. Still, no matter who is steering, the ship is still steaming 180 degrees from the founders obvious limited intentions for the federal gov't. Hmmm. 2 parties? I think not.
