“The great recession is over,” declared NABE President-elect Lynn Reaser, chief economist at Point Loma Nazarene University, in conjunction with the release of the survey results on October 12. “The survey found that the vast majority of business economists believe that the recession has ended but that the economic recovery is likely to be more moderate than those typically experienced following steep declines.”

Love their optimism. Did they forget to factor in one other little detail ... like where are all those jobs America was promised during the campaign? How can folks stiumlate the economy if they don't have a job? Not to mention pay for Obama-care? I agree with you, Mr. Dubord, "Hopefully, though, the economists will be on target, and the current record-setting recession can begin to recede into the past." That would be wonderful news. |

RECOVERY? The top of the financial food chain with the government’s help wants to prejudice your perception toward positive spending. Instilling confidence is intended to move consumers to borrow and spend. Don’t listen to the noise. http://pacificgatepost.com/2009/10/economy-outlook-is-your-outlook.html --- |

Smart person James Raider. You are a smart man. In a debt based economy. Thats exactly what is taking place. 7th go around articles where the "Economists are saying a recovery is taking place". My question is just who do the economists work for? It's kind of obvious. |

Over 80 percent of the economists surveyed by the National Association for Business Economics believe that America’s worst recession since the Great Depression has come to an end and a slow recovery has begun.
