The proposed mosque near where the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed, along with thousands of American lives, would be a 15-story middle finger to America. It takes a high IQ to evade the obvious, so it is not surprising that the intelligentsia are out in force, decrying those who criticize this calculated insult.
There are others for whom a citizen of the world affectation puts them one-up on those of us who are grateful to be Americans, and to enjoy a freedom that is all too rare in other countries around the world, even at this late date in human history. Thomas Sowell graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University (1958) and went on to receive his master's in economics from Columbia University (1959) and a doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago (1968). He is the author of 28 books including his most recent, Intellectuals and Society. Currently he is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. His Web site is www.tsowell.com. ... The Neocons are using war for their own agenda (a one world socialist order) and this battle over the mosque plays right into their hands. Ditto for the warhawk Democrats who also support endless war. Constitutionalists need to be careful how America’s enemies, foreign and domestic, will use this issue to further demoralize Americans. Most Americans aren’t students of the Constitution and most don’t even if we are a republic or a democracy. However their gut tells them something isn't right. Fiesal Rauf isn't concerned with doig things "constitutionally" otherwise he would not have accepted money from the State department to travel abroad to raise funds for his Cordoba center. He is an intelligent man and very influential. This is the kind of person the Council on Foreign Relations invite into their One World Order-promoting organization. Fiesal Raul is a member of the anti-US sovereignty CFR. Where in that picture does anyone feel he is standing up for the Constitution? For a list of CFR members buy this book: http://www.shopjbs.org/index.p...power.html |
