Perhaps no other firearm issue has been more dishonestly portrayed by gun prohibitionists. Notwithstanding their predictions that the ban's expiration in 2004 would bring about the end of civilization, for the last four years the nation's murder rate has been lower than anytime since the mid-1960s. Studies for Congress, the Congressional Research Service, the National Institute of Justice, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have found no evidence that gun prohibition or gun control reduces crime. Guns that were affected by the ban are used in only a tiny fraction of violent crime — about 35 times as many people are murdered without any sort of firearm (knives, bare hands, etc.), as with "assault weapons." Obama says that "assault weapons" are machine guns that "belong on foreign battlefields," but that is a lie; the guns are only semi-automatic, and they are not used by a military force anywhere on the planet. There are real-world consequences to disarming local populations, as Indians found out not long ago during the terrorist attacks on Bombay (Mumbai). Scholar and author John R. Lott, Jr., now at the University of Maryland, pointed out in the "Fox Forum" that the terrorists just smuggled their automatic weapons into India. Accordingly, he asked, "Would anyone argue that India's extremely strict gun licensing and artificially high prices for guns helped prevent the terrorist attacks? In fact, the reverse is more likely the case." Photo: AP Images

Second Amendment I just bought my first semi-auto rifle Saturday before Obama is sworn in. I'd rather not just trust any politician. |

... It is interesting to note that "Illinois's Chief Resident", Govenor 'Sonofavich' had to turn in his firearm permit after he was caught trying to sell Obama's vacant Senate seat. You see, he had to turn it in, because without that $$$$$ coming in for Obama's seat, he simply could not pay the 'suggested donation' amount required to renew his permit. Tyrants demand bribes. Fools trust tyrants. Enemies demand that you trust tyrants, as well. |

Hollywood Explains Obama's Gun Policy I've lost count of the number of lamestream media editorials (plus a few "sports" columns by certified Fudds) pooh-poohing the people who are causing the current run on gun shops. "Obama has no designs on your guns," they say, "he has no problem with hunting and target shooting." Hollywood already released this movie. It's called "Mars Attacks." These idiot journalists should be boxcarred in to the Smithsonian's Omni Theatre and forced to watch it for 24 hours. Then they should be released into the street to walk through the juiciest parts of the gun-control utopia of Washington DC (with the gun laws that Obama "fully supported" before their unconstitutionality was finally officially exposed) to Reagan Airport to catch their own flights home. Yeah, "We come in peace!" ZAP! |

Sheep It's amazing how many sheep are willing to be slaughtered because they refuse to recognize truth. All you have to do is look how Hitler and Stalin did things and our government is going right down the same path. |

... Actually, If you look at the spirit of what the founding fathers meant, and what most people seem to want to tip-toe around, The Right To Bear Arms does not mean just a projectile weapon. It means a machine gun or even a grenade launcher. And the purpose is not just to defend again personal aggression, but to defend against an unruly government. Restore the constitution NOW. |

Protect our Republic! Obama's administration WILL come for our means of protection from their socialist dream. They are inviting civil war in doing so but they are arrogant enough to think they can handle 80 million gun owners employing guerrilla tactics. History has taught them nothing. We the People are being backed into the proverbial corner and soon we will have no other recourse than civil uprising in the name of our beloved Republic. You will know you are approaching tyranny when the patriot is labeled a terrorist. Beware the NorthCom 1st brigade. Come join righttokeepandbeararms.com. |

... All those who believe that Obama will support your unalienable right to keep and bear arms, please follow me to the Golden Gate Bridge. If he does support gun rights, why did he nominate all gun grabbers to be in his cabinet, especially thos who'll be in a position to rule on restrictive measures of those rights? Maybe his "people" won't crash into your house at 3 AM to scoop up all firearms and ammo, but you can rest assurred that all that will happen more subtlely than not. My fear is that his appointments to the US Supreme court will give him more than enough liberal votes to reverse the pro-Second Amendment "Heller" decision. The electorate will rue the day they seated so many anti-traditional value politicians. |

... The German people alowed themselves to be disarmed by their government. Why? To many trusted the government. Some feared the government. Then they stood by idley while their government built killing factories in their back yards to kill millions of men, women and children. Why? They ALL feared their government. Today we have too many people in the U.S. trusting the federal government in every thing it does. That it does it for the good society. (they are wrong) Also, many law abiding citizens fear the government today. To have so many trust and fear the federal government is not good. The "Insiders" have erected a powder keg under our Liberties and are poised to destroy them entirely. |

ITEM: The Chicago Sun-Times reported on December 8: "As gun sales shoot up around the country, President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday that gun-owning Americans do not need to rush out and stock up before he is sworn in next month. 'I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment,' Obama said at a news conference. 'Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven't indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word.'"
