The climate-change theory was dealt another serious blow when the “Glaciergate” scandal further undermined the credibility of studies published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). With IPCC estimates for the melting of the Himalayan glaciers resting on unbelievably weak scientific premises, IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri has faced calls for his resignation. The Glaciergate scandal has even led the Indian government to withdraw from the IPCC and found its own agency to investigate climate change. But probably the most damaging report has come from Joseph D’Aleo, the first Director of Meteorology and co-founder of the Weather Channel, and Anthony Watts, a meteorologist and founder of SurfaceStations.org. D’Aleo and Watts show that the jumps in measured global temperature occur just when the number of weather stations is cut. But there is another bias that this change to more urban stations also exacerbates. Recorded temperatures in more urban areas rise over time simply because more densely populated areas produce more heat. Combining the greater share of weather stations in more urban areas over time with this urban heat effect also tends to increase the rate that recorded temperatures tend to rise over time. Their report provides examples of how the systematic elimination of stations and unexplained adjustments in temperature data caused measured temperatures to rise for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Norway, Sweden, and the United States. Many adjustments change what would have been a drop in temperatures into an increase. Take New Zealand, where D’Aleo and Watts note: “About half the adjustments actually created a warming trend where none existed; the other half greatly exaggerated existing warming.” Consider a brief review of institutions that have provided much of the data and analysis concerning the theory of manmade climate change:
So one might reasonably ask, “Where’s the data proving climate change is occurring? And where is the proof that even if such a change is taking place, that man is responsible for the change?” Trackback(0)

Welcome to "1984" Welcome to "1984". The national media’s continued silence on ClimateGate and increasing revelations of outright fraud and wrongdoing at all levels of government, academia and the media itself, tells the truth of the tail. That truth is there's a lot more to this ClimateGate story than what little is being reported. The small (2 to 3 dozen) international cabal of climate scientists could not have possibly gotten to this point without extraordinary funding, political support at virtually all levels of government, especially at the national level and unparalleled cooperation from the national and world media. This wide-spread networked support continues even as we-the-people puzzle over what this is all about. I ask you, "What are you seeing and hearing from our national media on the subject?" Anything? What are you seeing and hearing from all levels of our government, local and regional newspapers and media outlets? Anything of substance? At all of these levels the chatter has remained remarkably quite on the subject, wouldn't you say? Why? What points and positions are you beginning to hear on the radio and see on the television? This cabal of scientists has an unprecedented level of support given the revelations contained in the emails, documented in the computer software code and elaborated in the associated programmer remarks (REM) within the code. And ---- this has gone on for years, AND continues even in the presence of the most d**ning evidence one could imagine, or even hope for. Watergate pales in comparison, given the trillions of dollars in carbon offset taxes, cap & trade fees hanging in the balance and the unimaginable political control over people’s lives this all implies. The mainstream media's conspiracy of silence proves the point. Their continued cover-up is as much a part of this crime as the actual scientific fraud. ABC, CBS and NBC are simply co-conspirators exercising their 5th Amendment rights. |

The people that grow the food need the facts, now. This is a Northern Hemisphere view. In the next few weeks farmers are going to be making decisions about what crops to plant for the year. It is looking possible, or even likely that the ground may not be workable until later than usual this spring, and if the arctic oscillation index keeps diving down and staying low for prolonged periods like has been for the past few months, there could be some very late hard frosts. Farmers in North America, Europe and Asia really need some honest guidance about the real expected length of the coming growing season. If the season is going to be short farmers need to be ordering and preparing to plant short season crops and food for food and not food for ethanol. Since the food to ethanol is a government sponsored or in some cases a legislated initiative; governments must speak up, loud and clear. If farmers get bad information, they may well bring in a short or damaged crop. If they do, based on the current world grain reserves, about 250 million people could be starving to death come this time next year. If elected leaders continue to insist that the planet is getting warmer, and it does not; then people, lots and lots of people will starve to death during the spring of 2011, not some time in 2035 or 2050, but next year; and there will be nothing anyone will be able to do about it. The food will not be in the bins and humans can not survive by eating money. |

... May I coin a new phrase? Counter-INUITive: That which is not in evidence in the environment of the Inuit. It is reported that the polar bear population has increased as much as 5 fold in the last 50 years from 5,000 to 25,000 and the myth of polar bear extinction as well as global warming are generally viewed as ridiculous by the Inuit Indians that inhabit the polar regions. |

Got The Graphs For You Another skeptic blogger Cheifio (E.M Smith) downloaded the data and was doing some analysis of it. I took his data and graphed it and discovered that the world's temperature was really following the number of stations used in creating the global index (not CO2): http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/12736 It is pretty clear which humans created the myth of AGW |

Denial You are absolute morons. Balanced research you silly monkeys. Take a broad, very broad world view and a wide range of information out there. Compare the findings to a BS politicized issue flying around corporate run media holdings... then try being reactionist. Not that I really care. I won't be breeding and it'll be your children and grand children who will be living in a polluted and dying human world. Best of luck to them. Morons. |
