Mrs. Clinton confirmed that critics of the CFR are correct, that the organization directs the U.S. government’s policies and steers our country in ways that are harmful to its survival as an independent nation. Her remarks point to CFR members, those who have long been working against the best interests of the American people. We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won’t have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future. The nation’s Secretary of State has blown the CFR’s cover! For decades, its officials and key members have protested that the organization is a mere think tank that never takes a position on any subject. But here we have our nation’s chief foreign policy official admitting that the CFR will tell her what to do and how to think. And the State Department even published her amazing admissions on its web site. Why her remarks are so amazing deserves an explanation. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as “internationalists” and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it. Guilty of what? Guilty of conspiring with others to build a one world government, the goal of the CFR. If successful, Rockefeller and others who share his aim would cancel the Declaration of Independence and tear up the U.S. Constitution. For 350 years, sovereignty — the notion that states are the central actors on the world stage and that governments are essentially free to do what they want within their own territory but not within the territory of other states — has provided the organizing principle of international relations. The time has come to rethink that notion. The CFR lists only 4,338 members. But these individuals sit atop the worlds of business, mass media, academia, military, foundations and government. They are, as Washington Post writer Richard Harwood once noted, America's "Ruling Class." But they aren't supposed to admit that they have the power to direct U.S. policy. Now, however, Secretary of State Clinton has stated in very clear terms that what critics of the CFR have always maintained is correct. The CFR, she admits, tells her what to do and what to think. In following its lead, she is not alone. Americans who wonder why our nation’s policies are so self-defeating, even un-American, must begin to understand that the Council on Foreign Relations is their main author. Repudiation of this organization, its members, and those who willingly accept direction from it (such as Mrs. Clinton) is not just a good idea; it’s a matter of national survival. John F. McManus is president of The John Birch Society and publisher of The New American. This article originally appeared at JBS.org.

Where is Hillary's "admission"? McManus states: "Mrs. Clinton confirmed that...the CFR...directs the U.S. government’s policies and steers our country in ways that are harmful to its survival as an independent nation." Please show me where she said this, or in any way inferred it. |

Where did she say it Mr.Gipson? what do you want, a Rowan Gaither type admission before televison cameras? This statement is about as bold as she is going to get: We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won’t have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future. |

CHAPTER LEADER Thank you to the John Birch Society for having done all that you have all these years! We must continue to work hard to have our fellow American's realize the truth of those who are working in the shadows. Although now they might just be arrogant and bold enough to just put it all out there, especially after having have heard what Hillary said. |

... I think some emotional content needs to be taken away from this article. From looking up some information on the CFR in wikipedia, I found: "The Council's mission is promoting understanding of foreign policy and the United States' role in the world. Meetings are convened at which government officials, global leaders and prominent members debate major foreign-policy issues. It has a think tank that employs prominent scholars in international affairs and it commissions subsequent books and reports. A central aim of the Council, it states, is to "find and nurture the next generation of foreign policy leaders." It established "Independent Task Forces" in 1995, which encourage policy debate. Comprising experts with diverse backgrounds and expertise, these task forces seek consensus in making policy recommendations on critical issues; to date, the Council has convened more than fifty times." And "...it has about 5,000 members (including five-year term members between the ages of 35-40), which over its history have included senior serving politicians, more than a dozen Secretaries of State, former national security officers, bankers, lawyers, professors, former CIA members and senior media figures." My confusion is the definition of "advice". If there is such a diversity of individuals on this board, wouldn't advice be warranted for the Secretary of State to consider. I did not read anything in this article about Ms Clinton using the advice as the only answer and implementing it each time. To infer so would be obtuse. |

... this is one part of the plan. the other is the economic plot to control the US through its government, concentrating power and money in the hands of few. where are the free grassroots of the US? those who believe in freedom and self reliance to attain the american dream? |

Sarah Palin for 2012 GOP Nominee for Ronald Reagan Conservatism and Charisma Sarah Palin is the most socially, economically, and foreign policy conservative since Ronald Reagan followed by Mitt Romney, and she is the most popular with social, economic, and foreign policy conservatives since Ronald Reagan followed by Mitt Romney. She is an evangelical Christian who is most popular with Evangelical Christians. She is the most attractive, most charismatic, best public speaker, has the best personality, has the best youthful appeal, is the most electrifying (She is the conservative rightwing Republican-Evangelical Christian version of John F. Kennedy) who identifies best with and appeals most to the average American. She is the most personable with the best personal connection and touch, and she draws the largest crowds. She also hits Barack Obama the hardest. Above all she is more like Ronald Reagan in her conservatism and charismatic appeal (esp. in speaking ability) than any other rightwing conservative or Republican Thank You John Warren |

Well, you didn't show me where she said it To Lee Gonzales and Adriana: It is absolutely true that the CFR "steers our country in ways that are harmful to its survival as an independent nation." The only problem is, Hillary never said it, or even came close to inferring it. She did not betray her masters. |

For those who doubt the CFR is Un-American or pushing towards soviernty steeling! I am so amazed at people who defend the CFR or the Democrats, who are spending us into bankruptcy. Are these people who defend these acts, sane? I'm glad Hillery is sheding some light on the truth about the CFR for those who are blind about the facts! I know that those who, instead of thinking for themselves, would rather just be a "follower" of people who are so superficial and lie through their teeth. Listen people, if you want to know who to vote for president, don't judge them by what they say, you can only judge them by their "PAST ACTIONS" only!!!!!! That being said, look at Ron Paul, or Ron Paul's Son, or Sara Palin, but you need to make sure they don't get their marching orders from the CFR! If they are a CFR member-- DO NOT PROMOTE THEM and don't vote for them. Being RIGHT is not always POPULAR & being POPULAR is not always RIGHT! Don't believe the first opinion you hear-- use YouTube, and Google to research a little--for truth! |

William Cooper and Aaron Russo, thumbs up. First to John Warren, Sarah Palin is a puppet of Big Oil. They are grooming her to become the benevolent dictator with Rudy Guliani as VP. Total Fascism will rule behind the scenes while the stupid brain washed Sheeple think they havfe their freedom back. Aaron Russo said so clearly in his interview: Nick Rockefeller told him 11 Months before 911 that the NWO would pull off the fraud to take the oil of Iraq and Afganistan. The evidence is clear of planted explosives in buildings on 911 (See Applying the scientific method to prove thermate used on 911, by Steven Jones 5/07 on internet) |

Is the CFR a conspiring bunch of one worlders or not? Mr. Gipson, Clinton said the following in her opening remarks to Richad Hass, CFR president. "Thank you very much, Richard, and I am delighted to be here in these new headquarters. I have been often to, I guess, the mother ship in New York City, but it’s good to have an outpost of the Council right here down the street from the State Department. We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won’t have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future." http://www.state.gov/video/?videoid=29636586001 Mr. Gipson, it does NOT sound to me that she said this tongue and cheek. Watch for yourself. I believe I hear a Meeooow and a hiss from that cat don't you? I think that Hass expressed a nervous smile when she uttered those words. Maybe not, maybe he isn't concerned that The John Birch Society is once again exposing this organization for what it isn't, but for what it truly is- a conspiring bunch of one worlders. I suppose you want a more definite exposure. For that you'll have to read the late Admiral Chester Ward's book- Kissinger on The Couch. Chester Ward was just the top lawyer in the Navy but he exposed the CFR as best he could with his book. |

Re: Is the CFR a conspiring bunch of one-worlders Realtorgal, I don't need "more definite exposure" of the CFR. I have known about them and their machinations for decades, probably longer than you have. My simple point, Realtorgal, was that Hillary never said what McManus said that she said: "the CFR...steers our country in ways that are harmful to its survival as an independent nation." Sorry, it's not there....by any stretch of the imagination. Hillary Rodham Clinton is an unredemptive enemy of America and career criminal who's left a long blood trail from Arkansas to Washington. |

Well done Mr. McManus! I haven't heard such direct truth on the subject since the late great Larry McDonald (Past pres of JBS and congressman). Larry wanted an investigation of the CFR back in the early 80s. It's time we do it again before it's too late. (If it isn't already). |

BUY I believe that the CFR is a conspiratorial organization. BUT, before I pass on the information by John McManus on Hilary Clinton's remarks about the CFR I would appreciate more DOCUMENTATION! It is simply too hard to believe that she would talk AGAINST this organization. WE NEED MORE PROOF!! |

For those who may have missed the link to the full text of her remarks... Here it is: http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2009a/july/126071.htm |

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is not yet a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. After her July 15 speech at the CFR’s branch office in the nation’s capital, she may never be offered membership. Why? Because she frankly and unequivocally stated what CFR bigwigs have never wanted known.
