The federal government has decided to unconstitutionally waste more taxpayer money by demonizing and supposedly debunking “conspiracy theories” on the State Department’s propaganda-peddling website America.gov, prompting ridicule and criticism across the world. Under the banner “Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation,” the website lists a variety of “popular conspiracy theories” with icons for readers to click on and “learn about.” According to the site, “Conspiracy theories exist in the realm of myth, where imaginations run wild, fears trump facts, and evidence is ignored. As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas.” What is dangerous is not conspiracy theorizing, it’s allowing the government to go so far outside the bounds of the Constitution that it now steals the wealth of its citizens to tell them what to think. While it’s impossible to tell how much covert propaganda the government is producing (see Operation Mockingbird), the trend toward more and more resources being spent by government on overt propaganda is ominous and troubling. It should be halted immediately, not just because the government has no constitutional authority to do it, but because it’s morally repugnant and worse than counterproductive. State of Denial The US State Department says: "As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas.” Response: As a superpower, the United States must be a villain in some dramas, otherwise the concept of superpower is synonymous with benevolence. Are we to accept as true that something in the DNA of the United States prevents her from behaving badly abroad when even Great Britain admits there were times during her days of empire when she behaved badly abroad? I think not. Conspiracy theories exist for many dramas involving the United States Government because the official explanations are only fit for the consumption of naive children. The State Department also needs a lesson on the heat sink capacity of structural steel. It took 22 hours of massive fires to critically weaken the 36,000 tons of steel on the BP oil rig last month. Well, the towers had 100,000 tons each of interconnected steel, yet the heat sinks lasted only 56 minutes for the south tower, while the north tower collapsed in 1 hour 26 minutes. WTC 4, 5 and 6 are good examples of the robust strength of structural steel. Even with massive impact damage from falling debris from the towers, and fires rivaling the BP oil rig's fires, WTC 4, 5 and 6 remained standing. If al-Qaida committed the attacks, then why doesn't the FBI want Osama bin Laden for 9/11? |

Theories For the sake of simplicity let's separate real conspiracies from all the bunk out there. Real Conspiracies: Federal reserve Communist 5th Column NAU/NWO OKC (Remember John Doe no.2) the Homintern. Population control. Vietnam MIA/POW coverup. BUNK: Lizard JFK/RFK/MLK assassination theories CIA selling crack to fund anti-communist freedom fighters in Nicaraugua. "9/11 was an inside job/Jewish plot." Theories that single out specific religious or ethnic groups (i.e Catholics, Jews, Freemasons etc.) as the force behind histories greatest tragedies. Friends, there are real cosnpiracies out there, but we need to be very cautious of researchers who would bend, stretch and mangle the truth to make it fit their prjudices and pshychoses. If I come across an item and the source has ANYTHING to do with Lyndon LaRouche, Alex Jones, David Icke or Willis Carto, I will automatically discount it. |
