Leftist Website Targets Tea Parties | Print |

Liberals and Leftists grew weary of discrediting themselves by making false allegations of Tea Party racism and violence that were proven to be unfounded. Instead, they have created a website called teapartytracker.org (image, left), which “monitors racism and other forms of extremism within the Tea Party movement." Assuming there are incidents to be tracked, however unlikely, Tea Party Tracker “calls on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists among their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all Americans.”

Not surprisingly, the website is sponsored by the NAACP, Think Progress, Media Matters, and the New Left Media. According to infowars.com: “Think Progress is a George Soros operation connected to John Podesta’s Center for American Progress. Podesta is Clinton’s former chief of staff. Media Matters for America is the brainchild of a MoveOn consultant and Podesta’s Center for American Progress. Soros is a major supporter of MoveOn." In other words, these organizations are connected by more than their disdain for the Tea Party movement.

Accusations of Tea Party racism date back to the time period of the debate and passage of the healthcare reform bill, which inspired throngs of Tea Partiers to make a presence of themselves at the Capitol to exhibit their opposition to the bill, though their demands were ultimately ignored.

For example, prior to the passage of the healthcare law, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver claimed that a Tea Partier spit on him as he walked up the steps of the House office building. Later, it was revealed that the impassioned Tea Partier was shouting loudly at the Congressman, prompting accidental spittle to exit his mouth. In the video (below) that was later released, it became clear that if the Tea Partier had indeed spit on Cleaver, he would have likely been arrested by the U.S. Capitol policewoman standing at the scene.

Another often-touted example of “Tea Party racism” is the claim that Congressman John Lewis was called a “n*****” by a Tea Partier as Lewis was entering the Capitol building. However, no evidence was produced to corroborate Lewis’s story, even though there were hundreds of witnesses present to substantiate the claim, as well as journalists and video cameras. Tea Party coordinator Andrew Breitbart went so far as to offer a monetary award to anyone who could produce evidence of Lewis’s claims, but still, none was found.

Despite the lack of “racist” evidence, the NAACP targeted the Tea Party movement during its 101st convention, when NAACP delegates voted on a resolution that called for “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

Tea Party Tracker consists of a number of blogs posted by the site’s sponsors, most of which focus on conservative pundit Glenn Beck. Such blogs include “T-Shirt from 8/28 Rally” that accuses a man at Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally of racism for wearing a T-shirt which reads, “Blacks own Slaves in Mauritania, Sudan, Niger, and Haiti,” despite the truth of the shirt’s claim. Another similar blog entitled “Political Rally or Not? We Report, You Decide” addresses Beck’s Restoring Honor rally and takes painstaking measures to prove the rally was in fact political, though all evidence tells otherwise.

Tea Parties across the nation have amassed large groups of followers and spectators. Such large numbers certainly increase the probability of the presence of a less-than-reputable individual. However, it is difficult for one to determine whether an alleged “Tea Party racist” is a true member of the Tea Party movement or a self-described “Tea Party crasher,” one who pretends to be a Tea Partier but behaves offensively or strangely so that he or she may discredit the movement with which they are found.

“Crash the Tea Party movement,” an organization fronted by Jason Levin, conceived the idea in order to push the Tea Party movement “farther from the mainstream.” As an example, Levin explained, “Every time we have someone on camera saying that Barack Obama isn’t an American citizen, we want someone sitting next to him saying, ‘That’s right, he’s an alien from outer space!”

Tea Party Tracker is just another line of defense against the ever-growing Tea Party movement. Breitbart notes that cries of racism are merely a tactic used by a group that is threatened by the influence of the Tea Party organization. “The Left has one trick that it will use again and again when its back is in the corner: shout ‘racist’ in a crowded country.”

Spencer Ackerman, writer for the Washington Independent and member of the notoriously biased JournoList, proved Breitbart’s theory. Released letters written by Ackerman suggest smearing Obama’s opposition by labeling them as “racist.” Ackerman wrote, “Take one of them — Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists. Ask: why do they have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems? This makes them sputter with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction.”

If racism were the concern of the sponsors of Tea Party Tracker, groups like the SEIU and New Black Panthers would be targeted as well. The absence of these groups from teapartytracker.org indicates that the bull's eye is set for a single target, the Tea Party movement, proving once more that the Left is growing increasingly threatened by the influence of this movement.

Why John Birch Society Eschews Public Demonstrations
smilies/cheesy.gif This is another example why John Birch Society CEO Art Thompson discourages Members of The John Birch Society to hold public demonstrations on behalf of The John Birch Society.

He states that instead of the temporary results of public demonstrations and of the risks of being thwarted by agents provocateurs and being arrested and injured, he advises that personal recruiting and educating Centers-of-Influence with John Birch Society data produces permanent results.

All of the racism has come from the left. It's the left who has divided us up, pitted us against one another, and who addresses us as minorities and special interest groups. It was democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt who rounded up and put Americans of Japanese descent in internment camps during World War II. It was the democrats who filibustered against the Civil Rights Act. It was democrat Gov. Fritz Hollings, who was notorious for racial slurs, and who ran the Confederate Flag up the state house pole. It was democrat Robert K.K.K. Byrd and democrat Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black who were Klan members. It was democrat Jessie Jackson who referred to New York City as Hymietown. And it's the left that champions all of the socialist programs that makes millions of minorities dependent on government instead of being free of government. This is involuntary servitude for those paying the tab for this extravaganza which makes the recipients of this largess slaves to the system.

Racialism
It was probably the last time charges of "racism" will be tossed about because this latest effort flopped like a bad souffle. It's like flogging a dead horse. Get over it, bedwetters and egg suckers! Fifty percent of those who cared enough to vote in 2008 put a semi-black man in the White House. We aren't racist any more! Of course anti-zionism, anti-semitism, islamophobia, lookism, ageism, and homophobia still have some tread left on the tires.

The real racist here is the NACCP. Why doesn't the NACCP condemn signs held by Sharptons people. Why did't the NACCP condemn the new black panther party for racist language and telling people to kill white babies. When will the NACCP condemn farakahn and his hate speech. When the NACCP condemns these groups and these acts then I will consider the NACCP a legimate group.
