| Obama Criticizes Israeli Settlement Building | | Print | |

VOA cited a statement made by a U.S. official who declined to be identified that during a November 16 meeting in London, U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell had urged Israeli leaders to block the proposed settlement construction. Apassionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification. Obama is Anti-Israel and Anti-Semite Just another example of Obama's muslim sympathizing at the expense of the Jewish people. He is not only anti-Israel but an Anti-semite. Why wasn't this much fuss raised about Iran's nuclear program? Settlement building must go on. The Jewish people must persevere in the face of enemies. |

... With friends like Israel, a country that routinely gets caught spying on the US, interferes in our politics and murdered 34 US sailors aboard the USS Liberty in cold blood, who needs enemies? It would behoove people to do a little research before taking Israel's side in any matter. |

It's the Constitution Quote: "With friends like Israel, a country that routinely gets caught spying on the US, interferes in our politics and murdered 34 US sailors aboard the USS Liberty in cold blood, who needs enemies? It would behoove people to do a little research before taking Israel's side in any matter." I did not take Israel's side. Our Founding Father's did not want the United States to take ANY side in disputes between other nations. They advocated friendship with all and non-involvement in foreign wars. |

I'm with you, Warren Warren, my comment was directed at the comments below your article. So many "conservatives" automatically side with Israel and don't know about Israel's spying on us and meddling in our affairs, and have never even heard of the USS Liberty. I wasn't implying that you were taking Israel's side. I agree with you. |
