The Russians Laugh at America

Would you believe that Russia has become more anti-Marxist than the United States? Actually that isn’t hard to believe since the Russians suffered under Marxist-Communism for 70 abysmal years and have no desire to repeat it. But Americans are so ignorant of Marxism that they can’t even recognize it when it is being imposed on them by their Democratic political leaders. No Republican at the recent Summit dared call Obama, or Pelosi, or Reid socialists.

And would you believe that it is Pravda, the former mouthpiece of the Communist Party of the U.S.S.R., which is now laughing at America’s left-wing predicament? Pravda is probably more reliable than the New York Times or the Washington Post as a source of honest news about America’s political scene. A journalist by the name of Stanislav Mishin, writes in Pravda’s issue of April 29, 2009:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the last twenty years. The initial testing ground was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

If you’ve read Antony C. Sutton’s book, Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, you would understand what Mr. Mishin is referring to. Western money financed the Russian revolution, and millions of Russians died resisting the communist takeover of their country. But Marxists have learned from that experience and know how to impose their dictatorship “democratically.” Mr. Mishin continues:

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. . . . Then their faith in God was destroyed. . . . The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

Would the New York Times say anything like this on its editorial page? This was written in April of 2009, before the Tea Party Movement really got underway. The great American rebellion hopefully will put a stop to the nation’s headlong descent into Marxism in November 2010 and restore our Constitutional republic. Mr. Mishin further observes:

“These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, losses, and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look like little more than ordinary street thugs in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in sheer volume.”

And it is the Democrat controlled Congress that has let all of this happen, with Republicans standing aside and watching like spectators at a show, or even worse, like witnesses to a gigantic bank robbery without the means to do anything but gawk at the blatant behavior of the thieves. Mr. Mishin writes:

“Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of ‘pure’ free markets, the American president now has the power, the self-given power, to fire CEOs, and we can assume other employees of private companies at will.”

And the response of the American mainstream media to all of this was hardly audible. After all, the federal government tried to bail out the auto company, which then went into bankruptcy. But throughout our history thousands of companies have gone bankrupt without any president exercising a dictatorial right to fire anyone in any company. But under a Marxist regime, things are different, and Americans no longer react with outrage against anything our Dictator-in-Chief does. Mr. Mishin comments:

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set ‘fair’ maximum salaries, evaluate performance, and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses?…

Prime Minister Putin, less than two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our ‘wise’ Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Strong words that no one in our mainstream media will dare utter. By the way, how come we heard nothing about Putin’s warning to Obama and Tony Blair? That should have made headlines in the American press. But what all of this proves is that Americans have been slow to recognize the encroachment of Marxism in our government. The Income Tax, the Federal Reserve, Social Security, Government Education are all part of the Marxist plan called for in the Communist Manifesto.

We are like the frog in lukewarm water letting ourselves be cooked. And now that the water is about to boil, we are trying to jump out while our elected politicians keep trying to push us back in.

None of our politicians seem to be willing to utter the “s” word: socialism, or the “c” word: communism. There are not even many Republicans willing to state the case as bluntly as the Russian writer. Yes, there is a communist (social democrat? Socialist? Marxist?) in the White House, but political decorum rules that we must never publicly acknowledge such truths. After all, how many Americans really know the difference between a communist and a small “d” democrat? And who wants to be called an extremist? Mr. Mishin ends his article with this bitter comment:

“The proud American will go down into his slavery without a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.”

Of course, Mr. Mishin wrote that before the rise of public opposition to Obama’s socialist agenda. Since then Democrats have been repudiated in New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts. But we shall have to wait until November 2010 before we will be able to show Pravda that Americans are not about to put on the chains of Marxist slavery. But are Americans ready to dismantle the socialist infrastructure that has been built piece by piece over the decades?

It was Woodrow Wilson and the Democrat Congress who got the process toward socialism started by enacting the income tax and establishing the Federal Reserve System. The income tax was needed to get rid of tariffs that protected American industry but stood in the way of free trade. The Federal Reserve was supposed to manage the banking system, prevent depressions and bank failures. Yet we had the worst depression in our history and more bank failures than ever under the misrule of the Fed.

Then came Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who opened the federal government to swarms of communists and used the Depression as the reason why we needed a federal Social Security System.

Under Democrat Jimmy Carter we got the federal Department of Education, and billions of dollars siphoned into the public schools, which didn’t know how to teach children to read but knew how to indoctrinate the kids in collectivism. Then we got Medicare and Medicaid to soften us up for a National Healthcare system. And finally under Obama, we are about to get as much socialism as the Democrats can shove down the throats of the American people.

Cal Thomas recently wrote: “Not all revolutions begin in the streets with tanks and guns. Some advance slowly, almost imperceptibly, until a nation is transformed and the public realizes too late that their freedoms are gone.”

And that’s where we are now. If the Democrats succeed, that will be the end of our Constitutional republic, and our grandchildren will never know what it was like to live in a free country.
