Even as EU bureaucrats try to stop any attempts to control immigrants at borders, they say an EU military must be formed to control borders. All their “solutions” expand government.
The communist-minded regime ruling Brazil is quickly becoming almost a caricature of a “Banana Republic,” but there are still glimmers of hope amid an unprecedented public uprising. In an act of corruption and lawlessness so extreme that it sent shock waves around the world, radical Brazilian President and ex-terrorist leader Dilma Rousseff acted to shield her corrupt predecessor from prosecution and jail time by appointing him as a cabinet minister with legal immunity.
The United Nations, which styles itself a champion of what it calls “human rights,” is once again under fire for brazenly trampling fundamental rights — this time on freedom of the press, yet again. After sparking a global scandal last year with its bizarre efforts to imprison a TV journalist for her reporting, UN leadership has decided to go after another reporter, Matthew Lee of Inner City Press (ICP). He suspects it has to do with his exposure of widespread and systemic UN corruption. And he is probably right, according to observers, whistleblower advocates, and an international attorney who is taking up Lee's defense pro-bono.
Obama's nominee to finish fundamentally transforming "education" in America has been approved by the GOP-controlled U.S. Senate, despite the pleas of Americans from across the political spectrum. Apparently the establishment wing of the Republican Party just cannot help itself when it comes to surrendering to Obama — even on so-called “education” and the minds of America's future generations. In what is being touted by the establishment press as a bipartisan move, seven GOP senators, all elected to stop Obama, joined forces with most Democrats on Monday to confirm the deeply unpopular pro-Common Core nominee for U.S. education secretary, extremist John King.
The biggest protests in Brazil's history took place on Sunday, with millions of outraged citizens pouring into the streets across the nation to demand the ouster of radical president Dilma Rousseff and her corrupt, communist-minded Workers' Party (PT). Brazilians from all walks of life also called for Rousseff's predecessor, fellow PT operative and Obama buddy Luiz Inacio “Lula” da Silva, to be imprisoned for his role in the massive corruption scandal that has shaken Brazil to the core. In the Brazilian Congress, talk of impeachment is getting louder as the PT house of cards comes crashing down. And the consequences of the implosion of the radical party, which openly allies itself with Marxist-Leninists and was intimately involved in setting up the Castro-backed totalitarian network known as the Foro de São Paulo, could extend far beyond Brazil.
Hundreds of distraught ranchers and other citizens living near the increasingly dangerous U.S.-Mexico border met with elected officials in the small town of Animas, New Mexico, over the weekend to share their horror stories of lawlessness and plead for proper border security.
In one of its most Orwellian schemes to date, the Obama administration is taking a page from Communist East Germany's infamous Stasi by asking teachers to start spying on American students so “extremists” can be reported to the FBI. Among others in the federal government's cross-hairs: pro-life activists, anarchists, environmentalists, animal-rights activists, Muslims, religious students critical of “Western corruption,” constitutionalists, and even children who simply criticize or question authorities too much.
Hoping to capitalize on the growing wave of outrage against the globalist European establishment, radical left-wing internationalists are pushing a new “anti-establishment” plan that would further empower the increasingly totalitarian European Union. Under the guise of making the EU super-state “democratic,” the new campaign, dubbed the “Democracy in Europe Movement 2025” (DiEM25), hopes to give the appearance of legitimacy to Brussels' growing power grabs. Among other goals to be achieved by 2025, the effort seeks to grant “sovereignty” to the EU and impose a full-blown Constitution on the formerly sovereign nations while pretending to give the public a say in how it is ruled.
Facing an accelerating implosion of faith in the anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (AGW) theory due in part to satellite data showing more than 18 years of no warming — the great “pause” or “hiatus,” as some put it — one of the satellite data sets has now been adjusted to show a slight increase in temperatures over the last two decades. Global-warming theorists on the government dole celebrated the news about RSS changes, speculating that it might herald the end of skepticism over their controversial theory and even what particularly rabid warmists refer to as “climate denial.” However, experts and scientists warned climate alarmists to cool it — especially because the “adjusted” data is now significantly different than other, unmanipulated temperature data sets. There appear to be big problems with the adjustments, too, experts in satellite temperature data said.
Young New York City schoolchildren were forced to produce and then pledge allegiance to an “international flag,” sparking a nationwide outcry among parents and taxpayers outraged about indoctrination and globalism.
