The Obama administration is engaged in unprecedented stonewalling of federal agency and department inspectors general, according to a letter to lawmakers from a strong majority of the supposedly independent government watchdogs. The officials, who are charged by Congress with routing out corruption, waste, fraud, and abuse within their respective agencies, warned that the consequences of the obstructionism could be dire. Critics and lawmakers seized on the letter as further evidence that the administration marketed as the “most transparent” in history has become exactly the opposite.

During a public statement issued on August 14, Obama attacked local police in Ferguson, Missouri, for the heavily militarized and widely criticized response to unrest following the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown. Aside from inappropriately meddling in state and local affairs that, constitutionally speaking, should not be an official concern of the president or the federal government, the irony and stench of hypocrisy surrounding the whole situation and Obama’s role in militarizing the police has been largely overlooked so far.

Under the guise of fighting the threat it helped create, the Obama administration is again putting American lives and treasure at risk in violation of the Constitution.

All across the United States, Canada, and beyond, deeply controversial “smart meters” for electricity have been catching on fire and even exploding, sparking a major scandal that in at least one Canadian province has forced authorities to start removing all of the more than 100,000 devices. In Oregon, utility officials also announced that tens of thousands of smart meters were being replaced following numerous reports of fires. With the manufacturer saying the problems are systemic in the industry, experts predict more disasters to come as governments foist the “smart grid” on the world in the face of growing opposition.

Americans across the political spectrum are becoming increasingly outraged by the swarms of heavily armed federal bureaucracies, many with SWAT teams and military weapons, breaking down doors and terrorizing citizens to enforce unconstitutional regulations on everything from food and drugs to the environment and education. In response, a group of GOP lawmakers in Congress announced that they are working to at least demilitarize the perpetually expanding army of regulatory bureaucrats. Supporters of the effort said it would be a good start in reining in Leviathan.

Does it ever seem like many American self-styled “journalists” in the establishment media are parroting talking points from the same “progressive” script? It is probably because they are. The watchdog group Media Trackers recently announced that it had discovered a secret network of more than 1,000 radical Big Government activists that includes more than a few prominent individuals masquerading as objective news reporters at major press outlets. Lobbyists, fringe political activists, climate alarmists, Democrat Party operatives, and Big Labor are also all represented in the group, which has as its declared mission to create a “more coordinated” movement for Leftists to take over America.

The success or failure of predictions helps most everyone, especially scientists, verify or disprove theories. In the case of global warming, the theory has been disproven.

In response to the escalating chaos in the Middle East as a result of U.S. foreign policy, the Obama administration and the neo-conservative wing of the Republican Party are pushing for still more war and further foreign interventionism.

A shadowy network identified as the “Billionaires Club” is showering funds on the environmentalist so-called “green movement.” In addition, this network may be violating federal laws in its controversial efforts to elect its operatives, seize control of the federal regulatory regime, and push its radical agenda on America, according to a new report by Republicans on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Now that the Billionaires Club has purchased so much power, it is using its agents in the bureaucracy to further fleece taxpayers to advance its own goals and grant itself even more money, the Senate investigators found. Top insiders such as David Rockefeller and Bill Gates are deeply involved.

With estimates suggesting more than 800 people have died from the ongoing Ebola outbreak sweeping across West Africa, concerns are spreading in the United States about how federal and state authorities would react if — or when — a life-threatening virus such as Ebola begins spreading domestically. The United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) is also making waves with its controversial global preparations.
