Former CIA Director John Brennan Profited from Terror, Researcher Exposes

Explosive research reveals that John Brennan, the director of the CIA under President Barack Obama, conducted a long-term corruption scheme involving the manipulation of counterterrorism protocols to make millions in stock trading.
On this episode of Behind the Deep State, The New American’s Alex Newman sits down with author Ian Trottier to unpack the bombshell claims explained in his 2025 book High Stakes Treason: How John Brennan Compromised American Security for Millions.
Drawing on open-source records—including SEC filings, ethics waivers, White House visitor logs, and research from former FBI analyst John Donovan—Trottier argues that Brennan illegally retained a financial stake in The Analysis Corporation (the counterterrorism contractor he previously led). While overseeing National Counterterrorism Center protocols under the Obama administration, Brennan created an intelligence monopoly, using an NCTC analyst as a cutout, and suppressing key threat information.
This, Trottier claims, allowed attacks such as the Boston Marathon bombing to proceed, after which Congress boosted counterterrorism funding, and the value of Brennan’s holdings rose from roughly $50,000 to $4.85 million.
Trottier further argues that the financial conflict supplied a core motive for Brennan’s role in the Russia collusion operation against Donald Trump. The interview examines the documented paper trail, Brennan’s background (including his admitted Communist Party vote), and what accountability could look like as related grand jury and congressional scrutiny continues.
