Biden DEI Judge Orders ICE to Release Illegal-alien Murder Suspect; Other DEI Appointees Block Arrests, Deportations
Yet another federal judge appointed in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion has freed yet another illegal-alien thug whom Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested.
Melissa DuBose, appointed to the U.S. District Court for Rhode Island by President Joe Biden, freed Bryan Rafael Gomez, who isn’t just an illegal-alien criminal. He is also the subject of an Interpol warrant for murder.
DuBose isn’t the first — and certainly won’t be the last — far-left judge to side with criminals over Americans. She is the third Biden DEI appointee to interfere with immigration enforcement in favor of an illegal alien.

Red Notice
Yet another illegal released into the country in 2022 at the border by the Biden administration, Gomez is a fairly typical illegal-alien thug.
“On April 4, 2026, the Worcester [Massachusetts] Police Department arrested Gomez, a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic, for assault and battery,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported. “The detainer was honored, and after he was released on $500 bail,” ICE arrested him.
But Gomez is more than just a “criminal,” DHS continued:
On January 24, 2023, the Coordination of the Courts of Instruction of the National District of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, issued a criminal arrest warrant for Bryan Rafael Gomez for homicide.
So, of course, DuBose — the black female DEI judge — had to set him loose despite a removal order, perhaps to kill an American.
Fox News’ Bill Melugin explained on X that Gomez had not only a valid deportation order, but also an “Interpol Red Notice arrest warrant for murder in his home [country].”
“DuBose ordered Gomez be released from ICE custody on the grounds of ‘continuous unlawful detention,’ while ICE argued that Gomez was subject to mandatory detention due to having an international arrest warrant for homicide,” Melugin wrote.

A search of the Interpol Red Notice database did not turn up “Bryan Rafael Gomez,” and the photo released by DHS does not match any photos there.
Nonetheless, if Gomez rapes or murders someone in this country, DuBose will be partly responsible. But she will not suffer the consequences of her decision.
Other Dangerous Biden DEI Judges
DuBose isn’t the first Biden DEI judge to cause trouble for ICE and endanger Americans. Two others have done so as well. All are women, and one of them, Judge Ana Reyes of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, is a lesbian Uruguayan immigrant.
In February, the sapphic jurist blocked the termination of temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of Haitians pursuant to former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s rescission last year.
That case is before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Another renegade DEI judge is Rita Lin of California’s Northern District. In July 2025, she ordered ICE to release Mexican illegal Guillermo Medina Reyes in San Jose, California. He had been convicted of attempted murder. After Lin ordered him released, he was collared for auto theft.
ICE arrested the illegal alien again in February 2026. Open-borders advocates call him a ““beloved Bay Area tattoo artist, organizer, and immigrant rights advocate.” He is not, apparently, an advocate for the victims of his crimes.
A non-Biden DEI appointee, Paula Xinis of the U.S. District Court in Maryland, stopped the deportation of illegal alien and MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Appointed by President Barack Hussein Obama, late last year, Xinis sided with the Salvadoran illegal despite his obvious danger to the public. In 2020, his wife accused him of beating and threatening to kill her. In 2022, Tennessee Highway Patrol officers stopped him with a carload of illegals and suspected him of smuggling them. The jury alleged that Garcia “used his status in MS-13 to further his criminal activity.” He and his co-conspirators “transported thousands” of illegal aliens, “many of whom were MS-13 members and associates.” That crime is on police body-camera video.
Though deported in March 2025 to El Salvador following his arrest, in June he landed back in the United States to face the smuggling charges.
Authorities also allege that he solicited child pornography online.
The far-left, hate-Trump media call Garcia a “Maryland husband and father.” So also do the far-left Democrats who took up his cause.
