True the Vote Files Lawsuit in Florida

True the Vote has filed a lawsuit in Florida's 18th Congressional District to force an audit of the controversial race between Allen West and Patrick Murphy.

Congress could overturn Roe v. Wade by using the power delegated to it in Article III, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution to limit the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court to (in this instance) hear abortion cases. Yet this congressional power is largely forgotten and ignored.

Mark Willis, one of the 10 national delegates from Maine who were stripped of their credentials by the Credentials Committee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, has announced he is running for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee.

Texas Rep. David Simpson, the author of TSA anti-groping bill, bows out from speaker's contest in the Texas House of Representatives due to "fear of retribution" as Joe Straus is once again elected for the position.

The Texas state representative who authored a bill that would have, if it had passed, criminalized TSA pat-downs without probable cause in Texas is running for the powerful speaker of the house in Texas.

The Allen West for Congress campaign issued a press release on Nov 20 conceding defeat, but not all of West’s supporters are in agreement with his legal team that the results of the election can’t be changed.

Election officials in Ohio were scheduled to begin counting absentee ballots and provisional ballots on Saturday, November 17, 2012, but they haven't been forthcoming about when or where the votes were to take place, which is a serious problem.

The Allen West for Congress campaign reported it has filed a complaint in circuit court in Saint Lucie County, Florida, seeking a preliminary injunction ordering a recount of all votes cast in his contest during early voting and stopping the election results from being certified until such recount is completed.

Are Military Voters Being Suppressed?

Numerous news sources are reporting reduced requests for absentee ballots by military personnel and their families this year compared to 2008. A Human Events article dated September 27 noted significant drops in applications for absentee ballots by military voters in swing states such as Ohio and Virginia.
