In a radio interview that aired on Univision yesterday, Obama assured Hispanics that immigration overhaul was next on the agenda, despite the lack of Republican support: If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, "We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us," if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder, and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2. The New York Times reports, “The interview was taped Friday in Los Angeles for a show hosted by Eddie "Piolin" Soltero. Mr. Soltero’s radio show is immensely popular among California Hispanics. At the start of the interview, the Mexican-American comedian gave Mr. Obama "multiple" choices of what to discuss. A.) immigration reform, B.) immigration reform, C.) immigration reform, D.) all of the above. Mr. Obama took D. " ‘Absolutely,’ the president said.” For the Dems, the outcome of the midterm elections will make all the difference in whether comprehensive immigration reform, a.k.a. amnesty, is passed. They were beginning to make some headway on the issue until Republican Senator Lindsey Graham walked away from the discussion over a dispute regarding energy policy. Criticizing Republicans, particularly those such as Senator John McCain who have changed their liberal tunes to appear more conservative for the midterm elections, Obama stressed in his interview, “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.” Obama also took the opportunity to demonize Arizona for the passage of its anti-illegal immigration legislation. The Obama administration continues to hold up the federal government’s lawsuit against the state of Arizona for SB 1070 as an example of the White House’s unwillingness to pass on immigration reform. Comparing his push for immigration reform to the decades-long struggle for civil rights, Obama asserted, “Instead of us giving up, we just have to keep working until it gets done.” Continuing to harp on the subject, Obama asserted that Nevada voters would be in a better position to see immigration reform with Senator Harry Reid in office instead of his Republican opponent, Sharron Angle. According to the President, Angle is “completely opposed to comprehensive immigration reform.” The Blaze views Obama’s assertion to “punish our enemies and reward our friends” as an affront to “fellow Americans who don’t agree with his liberal policies.” This comment by Obama is reminiscent of those subtly threatening remarks made by former Service Employees International Union (SEIU) President Andy Stern on a variety of occasions. During an interview with Naked Emperor News on June 15, 2007, Stern stated: We’re trying to use the power of persuasion. And if that doesn’t work, we’re going to use the persuasion of power because there are governments and there are opportunities to change laws. During an interview with Chicago Public Radio, WBEZ, on February 20, 2007, Stern stated: "We took names. We watched how they voted. We know where they live." President Obama must embrace such thuggery, as he has allied himself with both SEIU and Andy Stern, who is a frequent visitor to the White House. Addressing SEIU members on January 15, 2008 just months before his election, Obama remarked: I’ve been working with SEIU before I was elected to anything. When I was a community organizer, SEIU local 880 and myself, we organized people to make sure that health care workers had the basic right to organize …That’s how we built political powers on the south side of Chicago … And now the time has come for us to do it all across the country … And we are going to paint the nation purple with SEIU.* And now we find President Obama making statements similar to those of Andy Stern. News organizations such as the National Review and Fox News view Obama's remarks during his Univision interview as polarizing, creating an “us vs. them” atmosphere. Worse, Americans see the comments as threatening. According to Prison Planet, the statements were “astounding new levels of rhetoric from the Great Uniter.” Weasel Zippers calls it “Leftist demagoguery at its finest.” Death By 1000 Papercuts asked: “Why does this president’s rhetoric sound increasingly like it’s coming from a dictator of some two-bit Marxist hellhole? Maybe it’s some sort of wish fulfillment.” Perhaps, however, when President Obama elected to label his opponents as enemies, he forgot that old proverb, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” — that may work against him in the upcoming elections. *Photo: Democratic presidential candidate Sen. KC--Stop It, Please Stop the foolishness KC: The President could have passed anything he wanted. Both the Senate and House are controlled by Democrats. He did not need a single Republican vote. Please wake up and stop doing what the President is doing "Blaming Others". Also, keep in mind the Senate and House have been under control by the Democrats since 2007 and do not forget Obama was in the Senate. He too is at fault. |

... To KC, I've read your comment. Yes, I agree. The Republican game plan was to block all Democratic legislation on Capitol, good or bad, so the Republicans could put themselves back in office. Unfortunately, all of the Democratic legislation was bad. None of it was constitutional, pro-family, or pro-American! Next, why label all Republicans as enemies? People like Ron Paul have done a great job; he has gone far above and beyond the call of duty. Second, there are Democrats who have a constitutional foreign policy position, also. So, Obama's remark's about Republicans being "enemies" is purely a political game to keep the Democrats in control of Congress. Lastly, why bother to call Barack Obama, Mr. President? He has never proven that he is qualified to be President. Where's the birth certificate? And why did he pay a law firm in California about a million dollars to hide his true identity? This guy's a fraud and everybody knows it. Ron Bedell |

The mexican mantra The mexican mantra “Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada” “For the race everything, outside the race nothing” All of the laws should be enforced equally, regardless of race, religion, and/or national origin. That is with the exception of mexicans, and they should be above the law and exempt from the law. And the only purpose that a tonto gringo serves is to pay taxes to support the superior and noble mexican. Anyone who disagrees with this philosophy is Xenophobic and a Racist. Obama's Enemies List Who EXACTLY is on this Enemies List of Obamas? Why does a President issue a call pitting one American group against his perceived enemies? Are these enemies of Obama the Tea Party whom are also 20% Democrats? The middle of the road voters who are about 33% of the voters. The RINO Republicans who are about 10% of the Party or just the Conservatives and people who consider themselves as Conservative? An agenda no one paid attention to has come to roost in America. Now people are concerned about it. Mr. Obama... if the majority doesn't like what you are doing, can you be called a Leader of the country anymore? Everyone thought this was going to be a healing time and it turns out to be more divided than the last 8 years. |

The Great Unifier Can you believe that this guy is the President of the United States, I mean give me a break, other than the illegals, we're all citizens of this country. What gives him the right to make us his enemies. This is actually quite pathetic and shows his arrogance and condesention towards the American people. For all those that voted for this guy, I sure hope you're enjoying all of this hope and change, isn't it really great, right. |

... I'm so sick of this "post-racial" president spewing this kind of b.s. His true colors have never shown brighter. 2012 can't come soon enough. |

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the Democratic majority, President Obama is encouraging Hispanic voters to remain inspired by stalled immigration "reform" to vote against Republicans on Election Day. More importantly, President Obama is inspiring his constituents to “punish our enemies and reward our friends,” encouraging a similar kind of “thugocracy” we have seen with labor unions.
