“Trump is Innocent!”: Infowars’ Owen Shroyer Disrupts Beginning of Impeachment Hearing

Monday’s edition of the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment show started off with a bang. Just moments into the hearing, Owen Shroyer, a talk-show host and a reporter for Alex Jones’ Infowars, began the hearings by loudly letting his feelings on the subject of impeachment be known.

Shroyer is famous for his videos confronting political opponents and opponents of free speech. He is the host of War Room with Owen Shroyer, which can be heard at the Infowars website.

“Jerry Nadler and the Democrat Party are committing treason against this country,” Shroyer shouted as the hearing began. Officers surrounded Shroyer almost immediately and escorted him from the chamber as he continued to accuse the Democrats of nefarious actions.

“And you can kick me out, but he’s the one committing crimes — you are, Jerry Nadler! You’re the one committing treason. America’s done with this. America’s sick of the treason committed by the Democrat Party. We’re not going to sit here and watch you run an impeachment scam and remove our vote. We voted for Donald Trump and they’re simply removing him because they don’t like him. Americans are sick of your impeachment scam. They’re sick of the Democrat treason. We know who committed the crimes and it wasn’t Trump. Trump is innocent!”

The entire incident lasted about 40 seconds with Shroyer cooperating — except for the yelling — with the officers who escorted him from the room.

Chairman Nadler seemed bemused by the incident, and said, “Obviously, I shouldn’t have to remind everyone that the audience is here to observe and not to demonstrate.”

Shroyer was arrested for the disturbance. He will have to go to court next month. Nevertheless, he got his point across.

Shroyer spoke with Jones after being released from custody. Both of them believe that the public needs to rise up and shout down the impeachment circus.

“People saw what I did today and, hopefully it’s enough inspiration to make a real call to action or a desire to take action because that’s what it’s going to take. If it’s one person every time, then their system’s going to win,” Shroyer said.

“But if it’s one person, then two people and then three people…”

Jones interrupted, “They would have had to shut that hearing down if twenty people, one after the next, got up and said, ‘You’ve been obstructing America, you’ve been lying, you’ve been using your investigative power for fraud, you need to go to prison. If the FBI and the Justice Department won’t do their job, the American people are going to start doing it.”

Frankly, it’s hard to believe that the Democrats will simply give up their impeachment dreams because of some random protests. Remember that the Kavanaugh hearings in 2018 were interrupted on several occasions by unruly protesters, who were removed similarly to how Shroyer was removed today.

And President Trump may not want these hearings interrupted. The Democrats have been doing a great job of discrediting themselves as their impeachment circus rolls along. And recent polls show the president surging ahead of Democrats in several swing states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, and North Carolina. Clearly, the impeachment dog-and-pony show is playing in President Trump’s favor.

So, while Shroyer’s histrionics today were amusing, it’s not a strategy of any kind.

So, perhaps in lieu of trying to end the impeachment circus with protests, it might be better to allow it to move forward and point out each and every error, instance of hypocrisy, and downright lie that Democrats come up with in their efforts to destroy the president. They’re not hard to find. After all, they happen every day that this nonsense goes on.
