This is probably one of the worst times weve seen because the numbers of people elected to Congress. I went through this as co-chair of the arts caucus. In 94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now theyre here to kill women.
You are allowed to have an abortion if you have been raped or its a matter of incest. However, you have to keep a receipt. Did you know that? Its sort of like an old German Nazi movie. Show me your papers!
No Taxpayer Abortion Act
Slaughter was speaking about the No Taxpayer Funding For Abortion Act, or H.R. 3, introduced by Reps. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) and Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.). According to the Congressional Research Service, the bill would cut off almost all taxpayer funding of abortions. Pro-abortion leftists tried to stop the measure because of a dispute over its definition of "rape," a nettlesome issue in the abortion debate.
H.R. 3 would make permanent the restrictions on taxpayer-funded abortion contained the the Hyde Amendment, which became law in 1976 and is annually renewed as a rider to appropriations bills.
Planned Parenthood has good reason to be worried. The nationwide abortion provider receives some $363 million annually from the taxpayers, and with that money, murders millions of unborn children in the womb. In 2008 alone, Planned Parenthood performed 324,008 abortions.
Beyond that, Planned Parenthood can't explain where all its tax money goes. For instance, the Government Accountability office reported that between 2002 and 2008 PP collected more than $2 billion in federal funds, but only $657.1 million was spent. That raises the question, the American Life League says in its summary of the GAO findings, of what happened to the rest of the funds.
As The New American reported in February, Planned Parenthood's mishandling funds is old news. In 1973, the GAO reported that its international affiliate's expenditure of tax money needs better oversight.
Slaughter Wanted to Police Speech
As for Slaughter, after leftist Jared Loughner's mass shooting in Tucson in January, the leftist Democrat announced that the Federal Communications Commission is not working anymore, The Hill reported, adding that Slaughter vowed to "look at ways to better police language on the airwaves." It continued,
Slaughter cited [former Gov. Sarah] Palins use of gun sights to target Democrats in last years election and the assertion by Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle (R) that Second Amendment remedies might be needed to stop the Democratic agenda.
Theres nothing else to surmise from that than that people should be shot, Slaughter told reporters on a conference call. I mean, it really is terrible."
But Republicans, Slaughter says, incredibly, are Nazis who want to kill women.
