There are many examples of the dumbing-down of the English language, all of which are driven by ignorance, insidiousness, or both. Whatever the case, we ought to be mindful of the theme of the old book The Tyranny of Words: The side that defines the vocabulary of a debate wins the debate. So watch your mouth — the culture you save may be your own.
Barack Obama certainly knows his market. He understands that with an America so dumbed-down, and a media so prostrate before him, he can get away with lies previous presidents wouldn’t dare contemplate. And his history of using the Big Lie technique is a long one.
CNN's Brooke Baldwin hosted a panel discussion on Dorner’s support involving MC Lyte of Café Mocha Radio; Buzzfeed sports editor Jack Moore; Lauren Ashburn, editor-in-chief at The Daily Download; and frequent O’Reilly Factor guest Marc Lamont Hill.
