A major with the Baltimore Police Department will be attending a United Nations “Police Commanders Course” (UNPCC) in Sweden next week that is raising eyebrows among Americans — especially considering the UN’s history and highly controversial agenda. The three-week course is aimed at teaching officers from around the world about “peacekeeping” operations, interpretation of UN “mandates,” how to work effectively with international military forces, and more, according to the program outline.

With thousands of foreign jihadists flooding into Syria to wage a Western-backed “holy war” against the secular Bashir al-Assad regime, new research suggests the war-ravaged nation could be on its way to becoming a breeding ground for dangerous Islamic extremists that might rival even Iraq and Afghanistan. According to a report released this week, hundreds of European Muslims have also joined the Obama administration-supported Islamist “rebels” in Syria — presenting a significant potential terror threat to the West when the well-trained and battle-hardened militants return home.

After almost four years of negotiations, the Canadian government and the European Union are reportedly close to finalizing a controversial integration deal known as the “Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement” (CETA). President Obama announced earlier this year that his administration was also pursuing a similar “free trade” package with the EU, which analysts say could pave the way for a “Transatlantic Union” encompassing all of North America and most of Europe.

According to experts, a North American Free Trade Agreement-EU super-bloc with power over national governments and economies on both sides of the Atlantic would become the de facto regulatory regime for the entire planet.

The governments and dictatorships ruling over the so-called BRICS countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — agreed to set up a new world bank that analysts say could further marginalize the increasingly unstable U.S. dollar, possibly helping to eventually dethrone it as the global reserve currency. Meeting in Durban, South Africa, at their fifth annual summit, the socialist and communist-minded BRICS regimes also announced their support for creating a new world currency and full-fledged global governance.

Other top priorities outlined in the final agreement, dubbed the “eThekwini Declaration,” include promoting global so-called “sustainable development,” which according to the United Nations entails a radical restructuring of human civilization. Also key on the list of BRICS rulers’ demands: further centralization of power in the hands of the UN, more government meddling in the economy, ramped up attacks on national sovereignty, and increased power for Third World dictators on the global stage.

As lawmakers face overwhelming pressure from constituents to uphold the Second Amendment and beat back what even some Democrats have called the “extreme” Obama administration-led assault on gun rights, the White House and its allies are pushing hard to shore up dwindling support. Despite the firm backing of radical groups like the Brady Campaign as well as billionaire anti-freedom zealot and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, however, lawmakers are largely still standing firm against the vicious assault on citizens’ rights.

The Obama administration and its controversial Department of Homeland Security are under fire for sending what is being described as a “chilling” message to U.S. Border Patrol agents demanding “obedience,” Liberty News Network (LNN) national correspondent and law-enforcement advocate Andy Ramirez revealed in an exclusive video report calling for Congress to investigate. The word “obedience” was defined on the official TV screens as: “quickly and cheerfully carrying out the direction of those who are responsible for me.”

Responding to a tsunami of outrage across the political spectrum over the Obama administration’s lawless power grabs, a coalition of liberty-minded Republicans introduced a bill in Congress last week that would specifically prohibit the executive branch from using military strikes on U.S. soil to murder American citizens. The lawmakers behind the effort said it was aimed at protecting the Constitution and the unalienable rights of Americans.

The three-page legislation (H.R. 1269), dubbed the “Life, Liberty, and Justice for All Americans Act,” has already attracted broad support among activists opposed to the federal government’s wild claims — especially the notion that the president can unilaterally decide to extra-judicially execute or indefinitely detain anyone in the world without due process, trial, or even formal charges.

Under immense pressure from grassroots activists across the political spectrum, lawmakers in the Arizona Senate approved legislation last week that would ban the controversial United Nations “sustainable development” scheme known as UN Agenda 21 within the state. The measure in Arizona follows similar efforts in other states and comes amid increasing nationwide outrage about the international so-called “sustainability” plot, which according to UN documents aims to radically restructure human civilization under the guise of environmentalism and fighting poverty.

After looting some 30 percent of selected bank account holders’ deposits in Cyprus on behalf of the so-called “Troika”— the European Union (EU), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the European Central Bank (ECB) — eurozone boss Jeroen Dijsselbloem told reporters this week that taking money from savers in other crisis-hit nations to prop up banks could become the norm. Across Europe, analysts, experts, economists, markets, and especially savers recoiled in horror, prompting the increasingly discredited Dutch Finance Minister to backtrack slightly. In Cyprus, meanwhile, anger is boiling over as authorities prepare to impose capital controls in an effort to avoid a full-blown bank run.

Concerned about the out-of-control Federal Reserve System and the increasingly unstable fiat dollar managed by the privately owned central bank, lawmakers in Arizona are following in Utah’s footsteps to come up with a potential alternative that protects citizens. Legislation to treat gold and silver as legal tender already sailed through the state Senate in late February, and last week, the Arizona House Financial Institutions Committee voted 4 to 2 to advance the bill as well. Activists are now working hard to keep it moving along.
