Gary Benoit is the editor and publisher of The New American. Gary graduated magna cum laude in physics from the University of Lowell (now the University of Massachusetts — Lowell) in 1976. The following year, he joined the staff of The John Birch Society, TNA's parent organization. He first became editor of TNA in 1986 and became publisher in 2016.
William F. Jasper
William F. Jasper is the senior editor of TNA. Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in child psychology and education from the University of Idaho. He has a well-earned reputation as one of America’s top investigative reporters and has attended several international conferences hosted by the United Nations. He is most known for his work on the Oklahoma City bombing and its aftermath. Bill has also authored two books, Global Tyranny … Step by Step and The United Nations Exposed.
The managing editor of TNA, Kurt Williamsen is, by his own description, “a jack of all trades, master of none.” He has worked as a lifeguard, dishwasher, landscaper, carpenter, roofer, concrete worker, shoe salesman, building products salesman, telemarketing rep, English teacher, and now managing editor. He has undergraduate degrees in business administration/marketing and secondary English.
John T. Larabell
John T. Larabell is the copy editor at TNA. He does editorial work for TNA's print magazine and website and occasionally writes articles.
Joe Kelly is the art director/production manager for The New American. He is responsible for the visual style and approach of the magazine's print and online venues. Joe oversees the creation and layout of the print magazine, guiding it to completion.
Katie Carder has been a graphic designer for The New American since 2011. She is a native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She works with the layout, design, and production of the print magazine and assists with articles on TheNewAmerican.com.
Bonnie Gillis is a research associate and librarian maintaining the preservation of materials and articles for archive purposes. Bonnie majored in art at the University of Wisconsin — Green Bay.
Bill Hahn is the public relations and marketing manager for TNA. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and gained valuable PR and marketing experience in the construction and publishing industries early in his career. He has been with TNA since 2007.
Julie DuFrane is the advertising and circulation manager for TNA. She has been employed at TNA headquarters in Appleton, Wisconsin, since it opened in 1989. Julie owns, with her husband, a restaurant in Menasha called the WeatherVane.
