Glitch Reveals Greta’s Facebook Posts Done By Her Father and Another Activist

A glitch in Facebook’s software allowed the public to see exactly who posts to teenaged climate activist Greta Thunberg’s page and, perhaps not surprising, it’s not Greta. The edit history for Greta’s Facebook page shows that the content on the page was posted by her father, Svante Thunberg, and by Indian climate activist Adarsh Prathap, who serves as a delegate to the United Nations on climate change.

Color me shocked.

A report in Wired magazine last Friday revealed that for several hours from Thursday evening until Friday morning, a computer bug was active that allowed the public to see administrators who posted on accounts that aren’t tied to an individual. Among the administrators to Greta’s account were her father and Prathap.

Facebook fixed the glitch on Friday morning. “We quickly fixed an issue where someone could see who edited or published a post on behalf of a Page when looking at its edit history,” Facebook said in a statement. “We are grateful to the security researcher who alerted us to this issue.”

But by then social media was busy showing screenshots of who was actually managing the Facebook pages of several high-profile people, including Russian president Vladimir Putin, failed U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, rapper Snoop Dogg, and Thunberg.

But Thunberg’s case is the saddest.

On Saturday, Greta — or somebody — attempted to clarify the situation, insisting that she’s the one who is actually in charge of the page:

Some people have been asking who manages this page. First of all, since last spring I only use Facebook to repost what I write on my Twitter and Instagram accounts. Since I have chosen not to be on Facebook personally (I tried early on but decided it wasn’t for me) I use my father Svante’s account to repost content, because you need an account to moderate a Facebook page. The rest that is shared on Facebook is reposted from Twitter and Instagram by the guy who founded the Greta Thunberg Facebook page long before I knew it existed. His name is Adarsh Prathap and he lives in India. Since a lot of people thought it was my official page in the beginning I asked if I could co-manage it and he said yes. All texts posted on my Facebook page has of course been written by me, just like everything else.

Maybe Greta is telling the truth, but the circumstantial evidence suggests otherwise. By her own admission, she is not a Facebook person. It makes more sense that her father and Prathap posted in her stead and she didn’t even know about it.

The page’s transparency section shows that it was created on December 7, 2018 with Greta Thunberg as the sole owner of the page. There are two page managers — one in Sweden and one in India.

Greta is a young girl who is caught up in events that she doesn’t fully understand. Clearly frightened by what climate hysteric teachers and her activist parents have taught her, she has become the unwitting face of the global green movement. Her movements are followed closely by the world’s media. She has spoken at the United Nations and is the supposed creator of the climate strike movement. She is even scheduled to speak at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, later this month where, presumably, she will pull out her well-worn shaming technique on the world’s movers and shakers.

But sans a prepared script and her ever-present handlers, Greta is ill-prepared to answer even the easiest of questions posed to her. Her understanding of the issue that she is front-and-center of is rudimentary at best. The young woman has become nothing but a propaganda tool for globalists and climate hysterics, and it’s sickening to see.
