The holiday season is upon us, and with all the hustle and bustle of the buying season it’s easy to forget that Christmas is not about material things. It is the birthday of Jesus Christ, when He comes into the world as a new-born baby. But something that we might not think much about is the fact that He actually came into the world as a human nine months before Christmas.
This is the topic of a very old book which has recently been republished. It’s called Devotion to Our Lord in the Womb: The Divine Nine Months, and it was written in the 1880s. Jason Gale is the Vice President of Content and Production for TAN Books and joins The New American senior editor Rebecca Terrell to discuss this very interesting and often overlooked period in the life of Our Lord.
