Senator John McCain has called on the Obama administration to create an emergency refugee program for child immigrants coming to the United States from Central America.

Despite threats from House Republicans to try and hold President Obama to the constitutional limits set for the Executive branch, the White House press secretary indicates that Obama has no intention of showing any restraint, particularly on the issue of immigration. According to Press Secretary Josh Earnest, the Obama administration has grown impatient with Congress and intends to move forward with its agenda.

Many call the boundary between the United States and Mexico an “open border,” and instead of deporting illegals, federal officials have been releasing them within the United States.

Stu Harris, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) Local 1929 in El Paso, Texas, said that the continually worsening crisis along the U.S.-Mexican border is the result of the U.S. government granting “de facto amnesty" to illegal immigrants.

One June 18, the Lone Star State’s top political leaders — Gov. Rick Perry, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, and House Speaker Joe Straus — authorized the Texas Department of Public Safety to start emergency “surge operations” along the south Texas border with Mexico. The surge is in response to a massive increase in the number of illegal immigrants coming across the border into Texas, the majority of whom are women and children from Central America.
