Illegal aliens are largely poor and uneducated and a drain on the welfare and public education systems, a survey from the Center for Immigration Studies shows.
“Immigrants in the United States: A Profile of America’s Foreign-Born Population” paints a startling picture of the nearly 11 million illegals and their children.
The latest survey of immigrants to the United States shows their numbers increased massively under the last two presidents, reaching a record high in 2010. That’s just one of the trends noted in “Immigrants in the United States: A Profile of America’s Foreign-Born Population,” published by the Center for Immigration Studies. CIS gathered its data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. Those data show that immigrants from the Third World are swamping the United States and its public institutions.
The Department of Homeland Security will extend the president’s order to halt deportation of illegals to homosexuals if they have “family ties,” the agency announced last week. The move to protect what are now called “LGBT” (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) immigrants came after seven dozen Democrats went to bat for these illegals.
The move is yet another step toward total dissolution of American borders, and a continuation of the Obama administration's legal and political war against those who wish to stop illegals from crossing the border. Just weeks ago, President Obama unilaterally offered an amnesty to “young” illegals who are, he claims, for all intents and purposes, “Americans.”
The Obama administration and its immigration agencies are partly responsible for the rape, robbery, and murder of American citizens because they refuse to enforce immigration law. That is the upshot of a report from the Congressional Research Service (CRS), which the U.S. House Judiciary Committe released early this week.
Thanks to the administration, tens of thousands of dangerous criminals are roaming the streets, committing tens of thousands of terrible crimes they could not commit if the president would deport them.
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) says he will sue President Obama because of the president’s illegal order to stop the deportation of illegal aliens under a certain age, and that the lawsuit is within weeks of being filed.
King is ready to proceed with the legal action he has been planning against Obama, The Daily Caller reported last week. He announced his plans to sue Obama during an interview with the Des Moines Register in June.
President Obama’s illegal-alien uncle, Onyango Obama, received a stay of deportation following his drunk driving arrest in August. The elder Obama appears to be the beneficiary of his nephew’s deportation moratorium, which President Obama issued in August, and which in turn appeared after the director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, John Morton, ordered his underlings to use “prosecutorial discretion” in deporting illegals.
After an appeal hearing for jailed Border Patrol agent Jesus “Chito” Diaz, Jr., supporters of the former officer are speaking out and demanding that he be immediately released and reinstated to his job protecting the U.S. border. And after the federal judge presiding over the appeal indicated that the government may have gone overboard in the case, hope among his supporters remains.
In advance of the presidential election of 2012, President Barack Obama is preparing to shutter nine Border Patrol stations, many of which are located in critical areas of the southern border.
The announcement of the closures has met with resistance from local law enforcement, federal lawmakers, and those agents charged with securing the border with Mexico.
There is legitimate concern that leaving these posts unguarded will give a green light to Mexican drug cartels and human traffickers to ratchet up their illegal activities across the border with the United States.
Less than two weeks after becoming the first sitting cabinet member in American history to be held in contempt of Congress, disgraced Attorney General Eric Holder spoke in front of the highly controversial National Council of La Raza — it means “The Race” in Spanish — and issued threats against ongoing state and local efforts to control illegal immigration or enforce voter-ID requirements. He also touted an administration effort to stop deportations while promising to keep working with President Obama to pass the “Dream Act” and secure amnesty for illegal immigrants.
The illegal alien who murdered a father and two sons in San Francisco in 2008 not only evaded deportation with the city’s help but also had murdered before, the San Francisco Chronicle has revealed. Even worse, the FBI knew it and did nothing.
According to the Chronicle, an informant from the Salvadoran MS-13 gang told the FBI that Edwin Ramos, convicted on July 30 for murdering 49-year-old Tony Bologna and his sons, Michael and Matthew, had murdered a gang foe before he cut down the three Bolognas in a hail of gunfire. Another son, Andrew, survived the attack.
U.S. Representative Steve King (R-Iowa) has announced that he will file a lawsuit against the Obama administration for its refusal to deport hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens. King has made it clear that he is “not bluffing” and that he intends to forge ahead with the suit, criticizing what he calls “unconstitutional overreach” on the part of the Obama administration.
