Heading up the transition team of the Democrat Party’s presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden, in case by some fluke he happens to win the White House in November, is Edward Emmett “Ted” Kaufman, the former Senator from Delaware who replaced Biden when he became vice president.
To get an idea where that transition team is headed, one only need look at Kaufman’s score on The New American’s Freedom Index, which rates politicians based on their fidelity to the U.S. Constitution. Out of a potential score of 100 percent, which would reflect a voting record that tracked and followed the Constitution of the United States completely, Senator Kaufman racked up a dismal and treacherous score of eight!
Said Kaufman in announcing the team: “The next president will confront an ongoing global health pandemic and inherit an economy in its worst shape since the Great Depression.” He added that the team “will prioritize the following core values: diversity of ideology and background; talent to address society’s most complex challenges; integrity and the highest ethical standards to serve the American People and not special interests; and transparency to enable trust and visibility at every stage.”
Not a single word was uttered that any of them would be hindered in any way by any limitations the founders built into the Constitution that would otherwise prohibit them from meddling where they shouldn’t.
Gautam Raghavan reflects the Biden team’s hat tip to diversity by being married to his husband, Andy, and together the two men are raising an adopted daughter. He currently serves as a consultant to the Biden Foundation and is chief of staff to Representative Pramila Jayapal, whose Freedom Index score is 23 percent. Not surprisingly, her district includes Seattle, part of which is being occupied by anarchists who have set up the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP).
Alongside Raghavan is Angela Ramirez, the long-time chief of staff to Representative Ben Lujan of New Mexico’s 3rd congressional district. Lujan earned a dismal 19-percent score on the Freedom Index.
Evan Ryan is part of Kaufman’s team, having served in the Obama administration as assistant secretary of state for educational and cultural affairs. Prior to that, she worked for Biden as his public liaison while he was vice president. With degrees from Boston College and Johns Hopkins University, she is sure to bring the “diversity of ideology and background” promised by Kaufman to the incoming Biden administration.
And then there’s Avril Haines, who served President Obama as White House deputy national security advisor and deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Somehow she has managed to escape being named in any of the exposures of miscreance performed by that agency that are currently underway in Congress.
But Haines has plenty of “diversity” to add to Biden’s transition team. While enrolled at the University of Chicago where she studied theoretical physics, she repaired engines at a mechanic’s shop. She obtained a BA in physics and then enrolled briefly at Johns Hopkins University, but dropped out in order to help her husband purchase a bar and turn it into a bookstore. The bookstore became a focus of attention when she was appointed deputy director as it featured, among other items, various erotica.
She later received her JD from Georgetown, which now fully qualifies her to help Kaufman guide Biden into the Oval Office next January. According to media reports, she will manage Biden’s national security and foreign policy efforts.
If successful, Biden and his team will no doubt work to neuter as much of Trump’s gains as possible, expand government power even further, appoint liberals to the Supreme Court, crush the economy with new taxes and regulations, install national socialized medicine and seek forgiveness of Trump’s foreign policies from nations such as China, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, and other totalitarian and communist dictatorships.
