But this place isn’t found in the Mideast’s Fertile Crescent or in sub-Saharan Africa. It's name is Islamberg. It's in the town of Hancock.

child autismThe Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported on December 18 that autism disorders increased 57 percent in only four years. At the end of 2006, data indicated that one in 110 American children had an autism disorder that was diagnosed by the time the child was eight years old.

When the U.S. Congress passed the massive stimulus package earlier this year, California Governor Arnold Swarzenegger created a state-level inspector general to insure that the stimulus funds for California would not be used wastefully or improperly. This is a big job for any auditor, because California is receiving about $50 billion dollars in stimulus funds.

Maria del ApontePresident Barack Obama has appointed Maria del Carmen Aponte to be the next American ambassador to El Salvador. Aponte, a La Raza devotee, was nominated in 1998 by Bill Clinton to be ambassador to the Domincan Republic, but her name was withdrawn after revelations that she had intimate ties to an agent of the DGI, the Cuban intelligence agency.
